50 States. 50 Protests. 1 Movement

Colorado Springs is showing up. Join us.

What is 50501?

50501 stands for 50 Protests, 50 States, 1 Movement — a decentralized, nonviolent, people-powered grassroots campaign launched in early 2025 in direct response to concerns about authoritarianism in the second Trump administration.

It began on Reddit in January 2025, with the first set of nationwide protests happening on February 5 — quickly spreading across all 50 states and drawing tens of thousands of participants.

That momentum continued with successive events on Presidents’ Day (February 17), March 4, the April 5 “Hands Off” actions, and a National Day of Action on April 19 — with participation estimates in the millions.

We Build Collective Power — Not Kings

We are the volunteer-led Colorado Springs chapter of the national 50501 movement — organizing powerful, peaceful protests and building sustainable infrastructure right here in our city.

In just a few months, we’ve hosted three major events with 3,000 to 12,000 of you! When a national date is announced, we activate — handling permits, speakers, logistics, art, music, volunteers — everything it takes to move people from outrage to action.

50501 Colorado Springs was started by neighbors — not professionals or politicians — committed to building a more just, more united community.

Our mission is simple: build grassroots power. We connect people, amplify local voices, and make space for community-led action when the national moment calls.

We’re building:

  • The biggest-ever tent of diverse local activists and neighbors

  • Partnerships with organizers, veterans, and local groups fighting for democracy, climate justice, LGBTQ+ rights, education, and immigration

  • Action rooted in nonviolence, decentralization, and real results

We don’t believe in figureheads. We believe in each other.

April 19th - A Day for the Record Books!

On April 19, 2025, we organized what is believed to be the largest protest in Colorado Springs history — No Kings on Colorado Springs — with over 10,000 people filling a mile of Nevada Avenue.

At the summit of Pikes Peak, a group of dedicated climbers gathered in solidarity — making it the only mile long and mile high protest in the country.

It was peaceful. It was historic. And it was just the beginning.

Join the Movement!
